Legal Description of Property <br /> <br /> <br />We are proposing the development of a new Christian high school facility designed to <br />support academic, spiritual, and community growth. The project includes classroom <br />spaces, a multi-purpose worship and assembly area, administrative offices, and <br />dedicated rooms for science, technology, and the arts. The proposed facility will provide <br />a safe, functional, and faith-centered environment for students in grades 9–12, allowing <br />us to expand our enrollment capacity and enhance the educational services we offer to <br />families in the community. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We ask that Section 30-635 of the City Municipal Code be amended to permit the <br />operation of a high school educational facility at 630 Freemont Ave NW, Elk River, <br />recognizing the school’s commitment to educational excellence, community service, and <br />responsible land use consistent with the City’s comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />A Written Narrative see Description of Project Narrative <br /> <br /> <br />Project Narrative – GSL High School <br /> <br />Detailed Description / Scope of Project: <br />GSL High School is a small Christian high school seeking to expand and formalize its <br />facility to better serve its students and the community. The project includes the use of <br />the existing building for educational purposes, along with interior modifications to <br />optimize classroom, office, and multi-purpose space usage. The goal is to provide a safe, <br />functional, and faith-centered learning environment for students in grades 9–12. <br /> <br />Proposed Project: <br />The proposal is to operate a private Christian high school within the existing building <br />footprint. The facility will include classrooms, administrative offices, and a multi-purpose <br />assembly/worship area. <br /> <br />Consistency with City of Elk River Comprehensive Plan: <br />The project aligns with the City of Elk River Comprehensive Plan by supporting <br />educational services, community development, and family-oriented uses.
