4 <br />6.2 The Union may designate Employees from the bargaining unit to act as a Union Steward <br /> and an alternate. The Union shall inform the Employer, in writing, of such choice and <br /> changes in the position of Steward and/or alternate. <br />6.3 The Employer shall make space available on the employee's bulletin board for posting <br /> Union notice(s) and announcement(s). <br />6.4 Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. shall indemnify the Employer for any successful <br /> employee claim for unauthorized employer deduction made by relying on Law <br /> Enforcement Labor Services, Inc.’s submission of membership authorizations or <br /> certification or regarding the employee’s authorization for the dues deduction or for any <br /> successful employee claim for unauthorized employer deductions by relying on <br /> information from Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc regarding changing or canceling <br /> dues deductions. <br />6.5 The Union shall request access to the premises of the Employer at reasonable times and <br /> subject to mutually agreed upon reasonable rules to investigate grievances and for other <br /> reasonable purposes. <br />ARTICLE 7. EMPLOYEE RIGHTS - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />A grievance is defined as a dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation or application of <br />the specific terms and conditions of this Agreement. <br />7.1 Union Stewards: The Employer will recognize Union Stewards designated by the Union as <br />the grievance representatives of the bargaining unit having the duties and responsibilities <br />established by this Article. The Union shall notify the Employer, in writing, of the names of <br />such Union Stewards and of their successors when so designated as provided by Section <br />6.2 of this Agreement. <br />7.2 Processing of Grievance: It is recognized and accepted by the Union and the Employer <br /> that the processing of grievance, as hereinafter provided, is limited by the job duties and <br /> responsibilities of the Employees and shall, therefore, be accomplished during normal <br /> working hours only when consistent with such Employee duties and responsibilities. The <br /> aggrieved Employee and a Union Steward shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time <br /> without loss in pay when a grievance is investigated and presented to the Employer <br /> during normal working hours provided that the Employee and the Union Steward have <br /> notified and received the prior approval of the designated supervisor who has <br /> determined that such absence is reasonable and would not be detrimental to the work <br /> programs of the Employer. <br />7.3 Procedure: Grievances, as defined by this article shall be resolved in conformance with <br /> the following procedure: <br />Step 1.
