Background/Discussion Consistent with previous approvals relating to the connection of the Meadowwoods Village development to the city-owned collection and treatment system, we have progressed with construction to the point of making the final connection to the city system. As detailed in Resolution 25-28 approved by the Council on June 16, 2025, costs for the existing system from NSU have been included in the proposed and agreed-upon assessment amounts that will be levied on the benefiting property owners. This item includes the approval of documents and payment to complete the transaction. The city attorney has worked with legal counsel from NSU and the HOA on the attached Assignment and Assumption Agreement and recommends approval as a necessary step in the transaction. Financial Impact As the agreement details, the approval of this item includes the city, on behalf of the HOA, purchasing the existing private system from NSU for $220,000 (an amount that has been negotiated between NSU and the HOA).
