<br /> <br /> <br />City of Elk River <br />City Council <br /> <br />Resolution 26-03 <br /> <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Authorizing a <br />General Transfer from the Multipurpose Facility and Wastewater Funds to <br />the Fleet Replacement Fund <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River maintains a Fleet Acquisition and Replacement <br />Policy to manage all capital equipment assets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Wastewater Division has proposed to replace an existing <br />equipment trailer with a retired police interceptor vehicle for the sanitary sewer line <br />camera deployment platform; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the difference in replacement cost between the aging trailer asset and <br />the retired police interceptor vehicle is $4,100; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Furniture and Things Community Event Center (FT Center) <br />management wishes to expand their food catering operation and requested a <br />retired vehicle for this purpose as a trial in 2025; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the FT Center staff requests the addition of a vehicle for ongoing <br />catering operations use until further notice; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that $4,100 shall be transferred from the <br />Wastewater Fund and $7,700 shall be transferred from the Multipurpose Facility <br />Fund to the Fleet Replacement Fund to account for the cost to add such vehicles; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the vehicles will be added to the fleet inventory designated as <br />“repurposed asset” indicating that future replacement will be by way of similarly <br />repurposed assets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, repurposed assets are not amortized for annual budget chargebacks <br />to the Fleet Replacement Fund. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 59 of 99
