She stated that the new company will offer other gambling options, which will <br />most likely attract more customers. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Grupa to Adopt, by <br />motion, Resolution 26-09 approving a premises permit for CharitAbleMN dba <br />Competition Cheer Spirit Booster Club. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />5. OPEN FORUM <br />No one appeared for open forum. <br /> <br />6. PRESENTATIONS, AWARDS, AND RECOGNITION <br /> <br />6.1 Introduce New Community Service Officers <br />Chief Kuhnly introduced Community Service Officers Torren Johnson and Jocelyn Eckstrom and <br />welcomed them to the city. <br /> <br />6.2 Oath of Office: Police Officers <br />Mayor Dietz administered the oath of office to Officers Joe Reak and Nick Bownes. Each had their <br />badges pinned on by family members. <br /> <br />6.3 Planning Commission Candidate Interview <br />The Council interviewed Jim Lang for the Planning Commission. Mr. Lang and his wife own an IT <br />company that serves a few local communities. He wants to get more involved, and the Planning <br />Commission interested him in how it is working to build and evolve the city. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Calva and seconded by Councilmember Wagner to appoint Jim <br />Lang to the Planning Commission with the term expiring February 28, 2029.
