according to bank holiday schedules. <br />Timekeeping <br />Timesheets and any other time reports shall be approved and submitted to payroll by <br />noon on the Monday before pay day. Failure to submit time reports on time or to approve <br />employee's time reports on time may be subJect to discipline. <br />An accurate record of hours worked, and any leave time used by nonexempt employees is <br />necessary to comply with the provisions of the federal and state Fair Labor Standards Acts. <br />Elk River utilizes different types of timekeeping systems. <br />Employees using a schedule -based electronic timekeeping system have work schedules <br />that are set by supervisors before each work period. Any deviation to an employee's work <br />schedule shall be immediately updated in the timekeeping system. It is the employee's <br />responsibility to ensure their time records are maintained accurately. Your finalized work <br />schedule and approved exceptions sigig+f+essi"nify physical approval of your time record <br />per FLSA and state statutes. <br />Non-exempt employees utilizing a timesheet-based timekeeping system shall record their <br />hours worked each day in 15 minute increments. Requests for time off shall be made and <br />approved prior to the time off. If time off is unscheduled, the request and approval shall <br />be made as soon as practicable but no later than the end of the pay period. Submission of <br />timesheets acknowledges accuracy of your time record per FLSA. <br />Employees utilizing a kiosk to punch in and punch out are responsible to punch in at the <br />beginning of each shift and punch out at the end, bunch in and out for meal breaks, and to <br />notify their supervisor immediately of any missed punches or other errors in their time <br />record. Requests for use of Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) shall be made through the <br />HRIS in writing directly to the supervisor. <br />Exempt employees are paid a set salary for each pay period and do not record hours <br />worked. Exempt employees utilizing paid leave time shall request leave time and receive <br />approval through the time keeping system prior to the leave being taken. Submission of <br />timesheet acknowledges accuracy of paid time off. <br />Time off and overtime requests shall be made by the employee through the timekeeping <br />system and shall be approved or denied by the supervisor through the timekeeping <br />system. Requests shall be made in 15 minute increments. Requested leave (vacation or <br />compensatory time and planned leaves of absence) must be submitted to supervisors <br />through the timekeeping system with as much advance notice as possible. Leave requests <br />are not final until approved by the supervisor in the timekeeping system. <br />Employees are provided with secure access to their time records and shall not share their <br />password with co-workers.
