The current agreement is set to expire <br />on 1/16/2026. The trash industry's average annual price increases are typically based on the Bureau of Labor <br />Statistics' water, sewer, and trash consumer price index, which currently averages a 5.1% increase from the <br />previous 12 months. Waste Management has drafted a new agreement that will increase fees by <br />approximately 2.9% per ton of waste. A comparison of the new vs. old rate is listed below. <br /> <br />Current Rates: <br />$53.07 per ton <br />$5.89 per ton of wastewater mgmt (11.1%) <br />$3.73 per ton- Energy(varies weekly) (7.02% currently) <br />Total $62.69 per ton plus taxes/host fees <br /> <br />New Rates: <br />$51.25 per ton <br />$9.67 per ton — Wastewater mgmt (18.9%) <br />$3.60 per ton- Energy(varies weekly-currently 7.02%) <br />Total $64.52 per ton plus taxes/host fees. <br /> <br />36-month service agreement <br />$1.95/ton annual price increase <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />Solid waste disposal costs will increase by 2.9%, plus $1.95 per ton annually. <br /> <br />Page 166 of 312
