The small overage in the footprint restrictions would ensure that we are able to protect our <br />property that is now exposed to the elements and to create a cleaner and more attractive <br />appearance to our property and neighborhood, as well as provide comfortable and safe <br />space to care for our family. <br />Our ask is to be approved for variance to the Elk Rivers Municipal Code Sec. 30-1 in the <br />following ways (listed below in priority order); <br />• Exceed the 1,000 square feet limit for our planned ADU by approximately 600 square <br />feet. <br />• Exceed the square footage limit of 2,500 square feet of attached (garage) and <br />detached (sheds) and accessory structures, by approximately 148 square feet in the <br />footprint of our structure. <br />Thank you so much for your time and consideration. <br />Josh and Jen Belde <br />Page 120 of 556 <br />
