Leak ID #1649 was reported on 06/13/1989 and closed on 01/26/1994. Groundwater contamination is <br />listed, contaminated soils remaining and offsite contamination are not listed, and product released is <br />listed as waste oil. Cleanup activities include excavation of 65 cubic yards of soil and Corrective <br />Action Design (CAD) Monitoring. <br />Listed as a non-generator (former hazardous waste generator). Hazardous wastes are listed as <br />ignitable waste and slop oil emulsion solids from the petroleum refining industry. Materials accepted are electronics, metals, <br />bulbs and ballasts, lead-acid batteries, and construction & demolition debris. <br />Three (one 10,000-gallon fuel oil, one 2,000-gallon kerosene, one 560-gallon fuel oil) underground <br />storage tanks (USTs) are listed as removed. <br />Spill ID #17884 was reported on 05/28/1993 and closed on 12/17/1993 (disposal/abandonment). <br />Fourteen 55-gallon drums containing 42-gallons of unknown substances were abandoned behind the <br />business and on the adjacent property. <br />Spill ID #59576 was reported on 08/12/2003 and closed on 08/13/2003 (tank leak). An air release <br />occurred from a tank in the recycling plant. The product in the tank is unknown but believed to be <br />ammonia. <br />Listed as a non-generator (former hazardous waste generator) of ignitable waste. The manifest <br />database identified shipments of ignitable waste and cadmium waste from the facility.
