1--UndDctk wYn 113 <br />2026 City of Elk River Yard Waste Site Rules <br />Anything used to secure materials during transport (i.e. rope, twine, etc.) must not be <br />discarded along with yard waste. <br />Unauthorized materials- If an item is not explicitly listed above, it will NOT be accepted for <br />disposal. The list below is not fully inclusive but reflects some common items that will NOT <br />be accepted at the site. <br />• Sod, dirt, gravel, soil, rocks <br />• Stumps, roots, root balls <br />• Wood chips- regardless of being treated or not <br />• Construction lumber, pallets, or treated wood <br />• Masonry block, cement, concrete <br />• Landscape fabric, edging, plastic bags, pots <br />• Ashes, coals, or any other type of grill waste <br />• Municipal household waste <br />• Manure <br />Note: the onsite dumpster is only to be used to discard disposable items used for the <br />transport of yard waste material (i.e. bags, rope, straps). <br />Vehicle Restrictions: No vehicles over 19,500 GVW shall be allowed within the yard waste <br />site. <br />Equipment Use: The use of equipment will not be permitted on the yard waste premises. <br />This includes both electric and gas -powered chainsaws, and vehicles such as bobcats, 4- <br />wheelers, or side by sides. <br />Penalties: Any violation of the site rules may result in a 1-year revocation of the annual <br />pass, enforcement of any relevant city ordinances, and forfeiture of any security deposit. <br />Any subsequent violation of the site rules will result in a permanent revocation of the <br />access pass. <br />Site Security: The yard waste facility is monitored 24/7 with security cameras. Footage will <br />be used as evidence to pursue any violations of the site rules. <br />Page 105 of 105 <br />
