The red brick building has two <br />store units divided by a brick pier.The storefronts have been modernized and clad in <br />permastone, and the transom filled with glass block. The simple parapet with a corbel <br />course is intact. <br />Significance <br />641-47 Main Street is typical of Elk River's smaller commercial buildings. One or both of <br />the units housed the Sherburne County Star News offices. <br />
