Areas along the eastern edge of Elk River Township, especially along Trott Brook <br />and associated lakes, contain areas of very high and high archaeological probability. <br />Further investigation is called for, and special care should be taken in consideration of <br />any subsequent development. <br />Additional fieldwork and documentation of archaeological and historic sites, as well as <br />testing of the archaeological probability model will result in further expansion and <br />explication of these recommendations, with more specific information about identified areas <br />as well as possible identification of other specific areas of concern. <br />39 <br />
