Senior Center Advisory Council <br />Monday, December 17, 2007 <br />1:15 pm Senior Center 350 Evans <br />Present were: Gail Johnson, Mary Heck, Lois Swanson, Charlotte Strei, <br />Jay Grammond, Holly VanderVelden, Milicent Busch, Sue Kostanshek and <br />Annette Bonin <br />I. Sue called the meeting to order at 1:15pm. Minutes were reviewed. <br />II. Financial statement — Reviewed. <br />III. Old Business <br />A. January Main Event — Sat. Jan. 26 at 2 pm. Music and treats. Co- <br />sponsored with Floyd Oleson. <br />B. Review of January Events — "Italian Festival" co -sponsored with <br />Senior Dining. Diabetic Show Clinic on Jan. 22"d. Greeting card <br />making class on Jan 28tn <br />C. Silvertones Report — Practice on Feb. 11, 18 and 25. Perform at <br />Adult Daycare Center in Princeton on March 17th <br />D. Community Ed. Report — Fitness classes and WWII series going <br />well. Korean War series may be planned next, since WWII series <br />was so popular. <br />E. February Main Event — "The Courage to Be" presentation. Co- <br />sponsored with Pullman Place on Tues. Feb 26th at 1 pm. Also, <br />Neighborhood Coffee Party on Feb. 21 St at 10:30am. Both at 413 <br />Proctor Activity Center. <br />F. Other — A part-time receptionist/secretary has been hired for the <br />413 proctor site. Her name is Natalie Anderson. <br />IV. New Business <br />A. Other Events in the Area — Feb. 7th — Volunteer Opportunity Expo <br />4:30 — 6:30 at the Activity Center hosted by Volunteer Bridge. <br />B. Outings — Omni Theater in March, no date yet. <br />C. March Main Event — Lions Pancake Dinner set for March 27th <br />D. Other — Activity Center Grand Opening Event will be held in May. A <br />committee will help with the planning. Mary Heck offered to help. <br />V. Next Council Meeting — Tuesday, Feb. 19th 9 am, at 350 Evans <br />VI. Newsletter — <br />VII Adjourn- <br />
