Senior Center Advisory Council <br />Monday, December 19th <br />2: 15 PM Senior Center 350 Evans <br />Present were: Lois Swanson, Gail Johnson, Charlotte Strei, Annette Bonin, Sue <br />Kostanshek, Clinton Yancey, Millicent Busch, Linda Hjemstad, Jay GAl mond <br />'6k <br />I. Sue called the meeting to order at 2:15 pm. Minutes reviewed. <br />II. Financial statement — Last Legion dance held, extra funds from <br />dances will be used to purchase filing cabinets <br />III. Old Business <br />A. December Main Event — Open House on Dec. I". Watchmen <br />performed. There was a good turnout. <br />B. Review of December Events — No co -sponsored brunches over <br />the holidays. Many churches and other groups have been <br />scheduled to come during December. <br />C. Silvertones Report — First Friends Christmas Party on Dec. 14th <br />at 2 pm., Anoka Dec. I6th, Dining Site Christmas dinner <br />performance Dec. 20th. Anoka Sr., Ctr Open House on Jan.24th <br />has been cancelled until remodeling is finished. Bill Heck <br />made a wooden storage cabinet for Silvertones supplies. <br />Silvertones 20th anniversary coming up in 2006. Invite old <br />members to a celebration <br />D. Community Ed. Report — Spring Brochure comes out on Dec. <br />A8t11. Construction continues at Handke. <br />E. January Main Event — "Author talk"Co-sponsored with <br />ERAAA on Jan. 11. Travel series begins on Jan. 26th — co- <br />sponsored with Community Ed. <br />F. Other — none. <br />IV. New Business <br />A. Other Events in the Area — Jan. 25th — Dining Site Luau <br />RSVP in need of volunteers for office and other jobs. <br />B. Outings — Sue meeting with Pam (Monticello Sr Ctr) to plan <br />2006 trips. Red Hat only outings will be added this year. <br />Suggestions for trips include Becker History Center, Lyric Arts <br />theater, Landmark Ctr., Factory tours, Lindberg Museum, Elk <br />Creek maple syrup making, St Paul trolley ride. Turtle Lake <br />Trips planned for Jan. and February. <br />C. Feb. Main Event — Sat. Feb 25th. Lunch and entertainment <br />D. Other — Bingo machine- waiting for call from Women of Today <br />V. Next Council Meeting — Friday, Jan. 20th at.10 AM <br />VI. Newsletter — Being printed <br />VII Adjourn- <br />
