Senior Center Advisory Council <br />Monday, May 21, 2007 <br />10 am Senior Center 350 Evans <br />Present were: Jay Grammond, Clinton Yancey, Gail Johnson, Charlotte Strei, Rita <br />Waxon, Sue Kostanshek and Annette Bonin <br />1. Sue called the meeting to order at 10 am. Minutes were reviewed. <br />II. Financial statement — Reviewed. <br />III. Old Business <br />A. May Main Event — Older American Month Celebration on Thurs. 5/24 -Sr. <br />MN Talent Show at 1:15 pm. Also Annual celebration at Vintage Grill on <br />May 3 0that noon. <br />B. Review of May Events — NewComers Coffee Hour on May 17 '. Legal <br />service seminar cancelled. Betty Rydell trip was very successful. <br />C. Silvertones Report — Will be on summer break July and August. <br />D. Community Ed. Report — WWII program was huge success, more than <br />double the # showed up than had registered. Garden Expo was attended by <br />68 people. Art Soup scheduled for 6/23-6/24. Fall brochure planning has <br />begun. <br />E. June Main Event — Memory Loss program co -sponsored with FIA on 6/21 <br />F. Other — Author Talk III on 6/26 and SALT Cook -out with the Cops on <br />6/27. <br />IV. New Business <br />A. Other Events in the Area — GA Housing picnics being planned, no dates <br />yet. National Night Out on Tues. Aug. 7. Sherburne County Fair July 19-22. <br />B. Outings — Ufa Dah trip on 6/ 2e, St Johns's Abbey on 7/31, State Fair on <br />8/30 <br />C. July Main Event — Magic Show and Ice Cream Social on 7/12. Cost $3 <br />D. Other — none <br />V.
