Senior Center Advisory Council <br />Monday, Sept, 2007 <br />Ipm Senior Center 350 Evans <br />Present were: Clinton Yancey, Lois Swanson, Milicent Busch, Mary Heck, Jay <br />Grammond, Gail Johnson, June Fenstra, Charlotte Strei, Holly VanderVelden, <br />Karen (Sr Dining) Sue Kostanshek and Annette Bonin <br />I. Sue called the meeting to order at 1pm. Minutes were reviewed. <br />II. Financial statement — Reviewed. $500 moved from Bingo to the chair fund <br />per consent at August meeting. <br />III. Old Business <br />A. September Main Event & Review of September Events — Main Event, <br />Sept 20a', Dessert and Coffee Concert featuring "Sisters in Song". Also <br />this month: NewComers Coffee 9/18, Cribbage Tournament 9/19, writing <br />Group Speaker 9/18 and Vet's Coffee Hour (new) 9/18. <br />B. Silvertones Report — Optional 3`d practice on the P Monday each month. <br />Practice will be held in the Activity room. Working on new music. <br />Performance Dec 27a' for Ramsey seniors. <br />C. Community Ed. Report — "Footprints on the Moon" Oct. 2 d WWII <br />History Series topics includes; Holocaust Survivors and Airman. <br />Travelouge series being planned for the winter. <br />D. October Main Event — OktoberFest on Oct 25t". Co -sponsored with Senior <br />Dining. Senior Center pays for entertainment and door prizes. <br />E. Other — Tables, chairs and pool tables have been ordered for library site. <br />IV. New Business <br />A. Other Events in the Area — Sat. Oct. 6a' — Book brigade from the old library <br />to the new one. CAER spaghetti dinner <br />B. Outings — New outings include "A Classy Christmas" and "Sights and <br />Sounds of the Season" <br />C. November Main Event — Tues. Nov. 2&, CAER Fundraiser. Free bingo <br />starts at 4pm followed by a chicken dinner. Door prizes will be cards and <br />stamps for bingo plus one larger door prize (Applebee's $20) <br />D. Other — Working on re -doing the behavior policy. <br />V. Next Council Meeting — Wednesday, Oct. 17a' at 1pm <br />VI. Newsletter — <br />VII Adjourn- <br />
