<br /> <br />The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the amendment. <br /> <br />Since the meeting, staff have added one condition to the recommendation for approval, requiring the first 25- <br />feet around the pond (the buffer strip required in Sec. 30-1852) to be maintained as natural vegetation - <br />limiting mowing or other practices. The ordinance establishes a 45-foot protective area around wetlands and <br />wet ponds. The first 25-feet are meant to be left as natural vegetation. The next 20 feet, the subject of the <br />PUD amendment, prohibits structures and impervious surfaces.
