My wife and I operate a greenhouse and vegetable farm at
192 I 5 Tyler street where one of the proposed 4 alignments could possibly be routed. If this route is the one chosen it will of
course force us to relocate our l?usiness and fmd a new home. We have lived here 10 years and have invested a lot of time
and money getting our business started and to a point where its a sustainable operation. We have thousands of perennials
planted on our property that we propagate from every year and have fine tuned our 7.5 acres into some great vegetable
producing land. We understand the need for an east-west corridor through Elk River and that you have the power of Eminent
Domain at your disposal. We believe that you have better routing options of 193rd rather than through our property. The cost
of relocating a business, a homestead and years of income loss would not be a very economical option. Please consider our
concerns when and if you expand 193rd. I know that this project will probably go forward as planned and we would like to
see some concrete decisions made ASAP ,either way ,as to what's going to happen so we can plan for the future and move on
with our lives.

Sincerely,

Barry & Karen Brooks

2/21/2006
