<br /> <br /> 49 <br />June 2025 <br />236096v1 <br />threaten to report a person or a family member’s immigration status for exercising a right under <br />Paid Sick Leave. <br /> <br />(i) Benefits and return to work protections <br />During an employee’s use of Paid Sick Leave, an employee will continue to receive the Utilities’ <br />employer insurance contribution as if they were working, and the employee will be responsible <br />for any share of their insurance premiums. <br /> <br />An employee returning from time off using accrued Paid Sick Leave is entitled to return to their <br />Utilities employment at the same rate of pay received when their leave began, plus any automatic <br />pay adjustments that may have occurred during the employee’s time off. Seniority during Paid <br />Sick Leave absences will continue to accrue as if the employee has been continually employed. <br /> <br />When there is a separation from employment with the Utilities and the employee is rehired again <br />within 180 days of separation, previously accrued Paid Sick Leave that had not been used, will be <br />reinstated. An employee is entitled to use and accrue Paid Sick Leave at the commencement of <br />reemployment. <br /> <br /> <br />42. PAID HOLIDAYS <br /> <br />Regular full-time employees who are non-exempt will be paid for eight (8) hours at their <br />base wage rate for each of the following holidays: <br /> <br />New Years Day Labor Day <br />Martin Luther King Day Veterans Day <br />Presidents Day Thanksgiving Day <br />Memorial Day Friday following Thanksgiving Day <br />Juneteenth Day Christmas Eve Day <br />Independence Day Christmas Day <br /> <br />Eligible part-time employees who are non-exempt will receive paid holidays on the same <br />basis as regular full-time employees, except that holiday pay will be pro-rated according <br />to the number of hours worked. <br /> <br />Exempt employees are permitted to observe the designated holidays above without <br />reduction of their salary. <br /> <br />If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. If the holiday <br />falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday. Employees will <br />not receive holiday pay for any holiday that falls during any leave of absence. <br /> <br /> <br />116
