The call out time policy does not apply to the <br />Water Superintendent. The Water Superintendent shall <br />arrange for another qualified Utilities employee to be on call: <br />1) during their scheduled vacation periods; 2) when it is <br />necessary for the Water Superintendent to use accrued sick <br />leave. <br /> <br />Operations Director. The Operations Director is required to <br />be available to triage or respond on an as-needed basis to <br />emergency calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week without <br />rotation. Such on-call time and availability is not working <br />time. The Operations Director is not required to remain <br />within the residency radius and does not receive additional <br />compensation for on-call time or for actual response time. <br />The call out time policy does not apply to the Operations <br />Director. The Operations Director shall arrange for another <br />qualified Utilities employee to be on call: 1) during their <br />scheduled vacation periods; 2) when it is necessary for the <br />Operations Director to use accrued sick leave. <br /> <br />Take Home Vehicles. Based on the expectation that they will <br />regularly be available to respond in a timely and appropriate <br />manner to calls about Utilities business outside of regular <br />business hours, the Operations Director, the Electric <br />Superintendent and the Water Superintendent, are provided <br />Utilities vehicles to take home. These vehicles are subject to the <br />Utilities’ Use and Disposal of Utility Property policy and may <br />only be used for the exclusive purpose of responding to calls <br />about Utilities business. <br /> <br /> <br />31. ELECTRIC RE-CONNECT TIME <br /> <br />Regular field workers performing electric re-connects at times other than during their <br />scheduled work hours will be paid in accordance with the general policy on Call Out Time <br />for Regular Field Workers. <br /> <br /> <br />32. STORM PAY <br />Employees assigned to work on another utility’s distribution system to assist with storm <br />restoration efforts will be compensated at one and one-half (1.5) times their regular rate <br />of pay for all such hours worked. Hours worked on Sundays or on holidays recognized by <br />Elk River Municipal Utilities will be compensated at two (2.0) times the employee’s <br />regular rate of pay. <br />106
