During <br />each process, city staff will have 30 days to respond to the state on whether a business meets our <br />zoning and retail registration ordinances. <br />▪ The state requires the city to complete a minimum of one compliance check per year. <br />▪ The state will create an expedited complaint process during their rulemaking to respond to local <br />government complaints. <br /> <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />Retails sales of cannabis products are subject to the state and local sales and use tax and a 10% gross receipts <br />tax.
