<br />12 <br />Approved: Commission: April 9, 2025, City Council: April 21, 2025 <br /> <br />Each organization will inform their coaches and other on-site volunteers to be aware of what to do in the <br />event someone is either abducted or has gone missing from their parent/guardian while at their athletic facil- <br />ity event. <br />1. The first person who is made aware of a potential abduction/missing person shall notify all coaches <br />or event organizers immediately. <br />2. Get a good description of the missing person so you know what to look for. <br />a. Name of missing person. <br />b. Age, height, weight, race, hair color. <br />c. Clothing (be as specific as possible) <br />d. Any other pertinent identifying characteristics. <br />e. Use a photograph if available. <br />3. Anyone assisting in the search shall meet at a designated location. <br />a. See Exhibit A-D for specific site. <br />4. Head Coach or Event Organizer shall call 911. <br />5. Provide as much information as possible to the dispatcher. <br />a. Note: A parent or guardian responsible for the missing person must be present when the call <br />is made to 911 and a missing person report must be filed. <br />6. Follow the directions given by the police officers and assist them as needed. <br />7. Stay with the family/friends of the missing person. <br />8.
