Resolution Authorizing Staff to Submit an Application for a MN DNR Outdoor Recreation <br />Grant, Public Hearing <br /> <br /> Mr. Maertz stated the Parks and Recreation Department would like to apply for a DNR <br />grant to make improvements to Hillside Park. <br /> <br /> Mayor Klinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor <br />Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Motin questioned why steel picnic tables were being considered rather than <br />recyclable plastic tables so landfill abatement funds could be used. <br /> <br />Mr. Maertz stated it is easy for vandals to carve into the plastic tables. <br /> <br /> MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 06-19 AUTHORIZING <br />STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A MINNESOTA DNR <br />OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANT. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.1 Resolution-CR 33 Between CR 77 and Hwy 169 and CR 77 North of CR 33 Turnback and <br />Reconstruction Agreement Between Sherburne County and the City of Elk River, Public <br />Hearing <br /> <br /> Mr. Maurer stated Sherburne County would like the city to take back a portion of County <br />Road 33. He stated the county recently placed a new overlay over the abovementioned <br />section and traffic is minimal. He stated that according to state law, the county will have to <br />continue to maintain the road for two years after it is turned back to the city. <br /> <br /> <br />
