MEDAL OF VALOR <br /> <br />Description <br />The Medal of Valor is the Elk River Police <br />Department’s highest honor and is awarded to those <br />who distinguish themselves by bravery or heroism <br />above and beyond the normal demands of law <br />enforcement. To be awarded the Medal of Valor, an <br />officer must have performed an act displaying <br />exceptional courage, extraordinary decisiveness and <br />presence of mind while facing imminent peril. <br /> <br />Page 73 of 117
