<br />PARK ID.ARD NOMINEES. Board members unanimously approved nomination of Stan Moreland for <br />Park Board membership upon sati.sfactOry interview with Park Bo. . ard Chairman. Remaining . <br />vacancy on Park Boam will be kept open pending clarification of regulation pertaining <br />to residency inside the City limits. It is noted that niether the City Ordnance estab- <br />lishing the Park Board nor the Minnesota Statute regulating Park Boards makes any provision <br />for mandatory residency within city limits. <br /> <br />Additional 1975 Park Improvements. <br />PICNIC TABLES. Board unanimously approved construction of four additional picnic tables <br />for Orono Park. Materials will be purchased now and the city crew will do the work <br />during the,winter months. ' <br /> <br />IDAT LAUNCHING SITE. Ken Nelson and Bob Westerlund will draw up a plan for construction <br />of a concrete ramp for the Orono Park launching site. Ken Neison feels the city crew <br />can do the job, thus eliminating the need for outside contracting. Application for <br />construction permit will be submitted following completion of plan. <br /> <br />SOFTBALL FIEID FENCES. Fences at both softball fields are in need of repairs. City crew <br />will do the work. <br /> <br />Next Park Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th, 7:00 PM. in the City Hall <br />Representatives of the softball leagues will be invited for discussion of problems <br />amd improvements.
