It is recommended that the liaison <br />appointments have a term expiration of December 31, 2026, and the voting rights appointments as outlined <br />below. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Mayor Dietz will recommend appointments for the various advisory boards. <br /> <br />Liaison Appointments <br />▪ Heritage Preservation Commission <br />▪ Parks and Recreation Commission <br />▪ Planning Commission <br /> <br />Voting Appointments (Council Representatives) <br />▪ Economic Development Authority (term expiration of December 31, 2028) <br />▪ Economic Development Authority (term expiration of December 31, 2028) <br />▪ Housing and Redevelopment Authority (term expiration of December 31, 2026) <br />▪ Multipurpose Facility Commission (term expiration of February 28, 2025) <br />▪ Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission (term expiration of February 28, 2026). This can be a council <br />representative or a member of the public because the city ordinance states that up to two council <br />members can serve on the commission. <br />▪ Region 7W Transportation Policy Board <br /> <br />Additional Information <br />▪ EDA Chair Dan Tviete will complete his term on the commission this year.
