Meeting of the Elk River EDA Beautification Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, September 12, 2022 <br />Members Present: Ryan Hardin, Melissa McAlpine, and Deb Hjermstad (via Zoom) <br />Members Absent: Ashley Welsh <br />Staff Present: Brent O'Neil, Economic Development Director <br />Joshua Mollan, Economic Development Specialist <br />Chris Leeseberg, Senior Planner <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the EDA Beautification Committee <br />was called to order at 10:01 a.m. by Chair Hardin. <br />2. Consider Agenda <br />Motion by McAlpine and seconded by Hjermstad to approve the agenda. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />3. Consent Agenda <br />Motion by McAlpine and seconded by Hjermstad to approve the consent agenda. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />4.1 Review Applications <br />Mr. Mollan introduced the two applicants: Three Rivers Montessori, and Salon on Main. <br />It was determined that all applicants will be judged during the October committee meeting. <br />The committee brought up other potential applicants and determined the best way to <br />contact them. <br />4.2 General Updates <br />Mr. Mollan will provide McAlpine the application deadline to include on the flyer which will <br />be posted on the Economic Development Facebook page. <br />Staff will determine what gifts are allowed to be given to award winners. <br />The committee will continue to discuss a potential clean-up day for next spring. <br />
