Minutes of the Sherburne/Wright County Cable Commission <br />Thursday, December 14, 2023 <br />1:00 P.M. <br />Present: Chair Tina Allard (Elk River), Vice Chair Gina Wolbeck (Big Lake), <br />Commissioners Taylor Gronau (Buffalo), Terri Boese (Dassel), Jenny <br />Jerome (Maple Lake), Jennifer Schreiber (Monticello), Paula Bauman <br />(Delano), Debbie Buoy (Rockford), Chrissie Estrada (Buffalo), Paula <br />Bauman (Delano) <br />Absent: Jake Foster (Watertown), Brad Potter (Cokato) <br />Also present: Technology Consultant Bill Bruce, Attorney Bob Vose <br />1. Call to Order — Chair Allard called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br />2. Approval of Minutes — December 14, 2023 <br />Commissioner Wolbeck made a motion to approve the June 29, 2023, Cable <br />Commission Minutes. Seconded by Commissioner Wolbeck. Unanimous ayes, <br />motion carried. <br />Treasurer's Report <br />a. Financial Statements —Taylor Gronau presented the financial statements as <br />outlined in the staff report. <br />Commissioner Boese made a motion to accept the financials and rebate half <br />of quarter two and all of quarter three in the amount of $262,213.74. <br />Seconded by Commissioner Bauman. Unanimous ayes, motion carried. <br />b. Bookkeeping Update —Chrissie Estrada gave an overview of transitioning from <br />Wells Fargo to Mid Country Bank, a local bank. There was discussion on <br />whether the finances should remain and be processed with City of Buffalo. <br />There was some concern because they would need a new software system. <br />It was mentioned that BBC Consultants in Elk River would be an option for <br />managing funds and streamlining the process. Currently, there are some bills <br />that go to Bill Bruce and Some that are sent to City of Buffalo. <br />Bill Bruce noted that he will work with City of Buffalo on developing a process <br />for paying bills and other finance related items. Chrissie Estrade commented <br />that she can check references of the consultant noted above and conduct a <br />background check. <br />
