Notifications were also sent to <br />owners of water service lines that have been identified as galvanized or material listed <br />as unknown at this time. A number of calls have come in with questions on the <br />inventory. <br />• A new fire hydrant was installed on the north side of Highway 10, east of Main Street. <br />This hydrant was added to have the ability to flush a dead-end 16" water main there. <br />City staff expressed interest in having the hydrant installed near the sanitary sewer lift <br />station so they could use it for cleaning the lift station. The city will contribute to the <br />cost of the new hydrant. <br />• Work continues switching the water Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) <br />system from radio communication to fiber optic communication utilizing our fiber ring. <br />The controls for wells three, eight, and nine are now switched over to fiber <br />communications. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />151 <br />
