��i <br />Elk River <br />Municipal Utilities <br />MANAGEMENT POLICY <br />Section: <br />Management <br />Category: <br />Administration <br />Policy Reference: <br />Policy Title: <br />A.X <br />Energy City Committee Charter <br />1.0 PURPOSE <br />The Energy City Committee is established to promote the mission and vision of Elk River <br />Municipal Utilities (ERMU) as a leader in energy and water reliability, sustainability, and <br />conservation. The Committee will engage the community, foster awareness, and support the <br />ongoing development of energy and water conservation initiatives in order to enhance <br />environmental stewardship, ensure resource sustainability, and contribute to the long-term well- <br />being of the community. <br />2.0 RESPONSIBLITIES <br />l . Aid, create, promote, and facilitate energy and water related demonstrations at <br />community events and similar educational opportunities. <br />2. Work for the continuing education of the public with respect to energy and water <br />reliability, sustainability, and conservation. <br />3. Seek partnerships for gifts, grants, and contributions to be made to ERMU to support <br />energy and water related educational activities. <br />4. Such other responsibilities as ERMU shall assign. <br />3.0 MEMBERSHIP AND STRUCTURE <br />The Energy City Committee will consist of up to six community members appointed by ERMU, <br />including residential and business individuals in all career fields with expertise in energy <br />management, water conservation, environmental science, education, and community outreach. <br />The Committee will report to ERMU and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the <br />community to fulfill its objectives. <br />4.0 MEETINGS <br />The Committee will meet on a regular basis as determined by its members, and additional <br />meetings may be scheduled as needed to address specific projects or opportunities.
