The City Council unanimously directed staff to move forward with Mr. <br />Kuhnly's hiring. <br /> <br />David Kuhnly is currently the Deputy Director of Public Safety/Deputy Chief of Police for the City of <br />Plymouth. Deputy Chief Kuhnly is in the process of finalizing the background check, psychological assessment, <br />and medical exam phase of the hiring process. Anticipating no concerns and to facilitate an expedited start, we <br />are asking the City Council to approve his hiring conditioned on the successful completion of this phase. <br /> <br />Deputy Chief Kuhnly will start on November 12, 2024, at pay step D of pay grade 1.5E. He will receive a bank <br />of 40 hours of vacation time and 40 hours of sick time at hire. He will be placed into our vacation accrual plan <br />at the rate of a nineteen (19) year employee.
