City Council Minutes <br />June 3, 2024 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />The staff report was presented. <br />Heidi Goodin, representing ERX, asked the council for an extension and stated the project was <br />almost completed. <br />Mayor Dietz stated he would not want to approve another extension. <br />Moved by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Westgaard to approve, <br />by motion, a 7-month extension of the date to complete the required conditions of <br />approval and record the following land use applications, CU 22-09, PE 22-01, and EV 22-01. <br />The approved completion date is May 16, 2024. If approved, the extended completion date <br />would be December 15, 2024. Motion Carried 5-0. <br />9. COUNCIL LIAISON UPDATES <br />9.1 Council Liaison Updates <br />The Councilmembers provided updates as outlined in the respective advisory board's minutes. <br />Mayor Dietz asked if ISD #728 withdrawing their sale of the elementary school would affect plans for <br />Oak Knoll. Mr. Portner stated there are currently no funds for the development of this area and things <br />may change in the next several years. Councilmember Westgaard added that changes to the school <br />superintendent and school board may also affect the plans. <br />Councilmember Wagner updated the Council that the downtown flower pots have been planted, and <br />new downtown banners will be installed once brackets have arrived. <br />Mayor Dietz stated that the theater building will have rentable bays of around 2,200 square feet. <br />Councilmember Beyer thanked staff for their efforts bringing the Memorial Day event indoors due to <br />the weather. <br />Councilmember Wagner added a congratulations to the graduating class of Elk River High School. <br />10. MOTION TO ADJOURN <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember Grupa to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:33 PM <br />Minutes prepared by Katie Porath. <br />Page 8 of 372 <br />
