<br />Compensation Services Proposal <br />Summary of Requested Services and Oeliverables <br />Background and Understanding <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />The City of Elk River is one of the fastest growing communities in the Twin Cities <br />metropolitan area. Located between several of the main traffic arteries entering the Cities <br />from the north, Elk River's population grew by more than 20% from 2000 to 2004. The city <br />currently employs approximately 96 employees. <br /> <br />The City of Elk River would like a third party to (1) run a diagnostic assessment of their <br />current salary structure and job evaluation system, in hopes of determining whether or not <br />adjustments need to be made in order to remain competitive with the market, and (2) suggest <br />a possible project scenario if it is determined that major adjustments will be needed. <br /> <br />Oeliverables <br /> <br />. Diagnostic Assessment <br />· Benchmarking of a representative sample of Elk River's positions against the <br />market <br />· Comparison of bench marked positions against Elk River's current classification <br />system <br />· Summary report with recommendations on potential next steps <br /> <br />.
