��i <br />Elk River , <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Chris Sumstad — Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 8, 2024 <br />6.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Installed 9 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br />• Joe Schmidt, Safety Instructor from Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association, was here <br />on September 25 and 26 and held safety meetings for field staff on confined space <br />hazards and compressed gasses. <br />• New primary wire is in around the Pinewood housing development and crews are <br />beginning to terminate and transfer customers over. <br />• Crews installed a three phase service to a new daycare facility located in Otsego. <br />• The line rebuild along 185th Avenue in Elk River is nearing completion. <br />• The line installation for Anna's Acres housing development in Otsego is complete and <br />ready for houses. <br />• Crews installed a new three phase service for Thunderstruck Exteriors headquarters <br />building located along 1715t Avenue near Highway 10. <br />• Crews started wire install for Heritage Millwork on October 4. <br />• Crews continue to perform maintenance on both the underground and overhead <br />system. Recently this has been mainly fixing infrared hotspots and changing out or <br />raising underground cabinets that are buried, leaking, or rusted through. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />0 <br />
