��i <br />Elk River , <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Tony Mauren — Governance & Communications Manager <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 8, 2024 <br />6.1d <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• In October, all customers will receive information on SmartHub's Auto Pay Program, all <br />residential electric customers will receive the Residential Clean Energy Choice flyer, and <br />all commercial electric customers will receive the Business Clean Energy Choice flyer. <br />• In addition to bill insert topics, social media posts this month feature a variety of topics <br />including the commission meeting notice, ERMU's National Drive Electric Week Event, <br />Public Power Week, Customer Service Week, ERMU's participation in the Downtown <br />Trick or Treat Event, and more. <br />• The team tracking progress on the V.2.11-pea(j IPirc.Aec�,lon Plain 1//Ih IP met on September <br />25. Commissioners may remember this 10-year plan was adopted in January 2023. The <br />group discussed progress on the 43 measures recommended in the Wi with a 2.5- <br />year check in meeting to occur in summer 2025. <br />• KJ Branding is scheduled to do the wall art installation at the field services building <br />October 16-17. <br />• Communications & Administrative Coordinator Jenny Foss was once again interviewed <br />for an article to be posted on the Utility Dive website. The topic was seasonal utilities <br />communications. We'll be sure to share it when it's published! <br />• As we look to establish the Commission meeting schedule for 2025 in December, staff is <br />looking for feedback from the Commission on any other alternative rooms or <br />configurations the group would like to try in the last two meetings. Weighing the <br />considerable investment ERMU has made in its conference rooms, the reduction in the <br />management team size, and some of the challenges with using more common spaces <br />like the Uppertown Conference Room, staff would like to know the Commission's <br />thoughts on future meeting locations.
