Economic Development Authority Minutes <br />June 17, 2024 <br />Page 2of3 <br />5. OPEN FORUM <br />No one appeared for Open Forum. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />6.1 Microloan for Heritage Millwork, Inc. <br />The staff report was presented. <br />President Tveite opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this matter, President <br />Tveite closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Blesener asked to clarify the 10 jobs per $20,000 and asked if that was a misprint. Mr. <br />O'Neil clarified that it was a misprint and stated it should be I job per $20,000. <br />Moved by Commissioner Blesener and seconded by Commissioner Wagner to, approve, <br />Resolution 24-03 authorizing a loan of $200,000 to Heritage Millwork, Inc. Motion Carried <br />5-0. Commissioner Westgaard abstained due to a conflict of interest. <br />7. GENERAL BUSINESS <br />7.1 Placer.ai Presentation <br />Staff shared a presentation of relevant reports and features from Placer.ai which include: leakage report, <br />downtown visitation trends, FT Center analysis, and 169 Redefine impacts, among others, as outlined in <br />the meeting packet. <br />7.2 Public Art Agreement <br />The staff report was presented. <br />President Tveite commented that public art makes a community more attractive, and anything that <br />makes the community more attractive makes it a bigger draw for companies to support local economic <br />development. <br />Moved by Commissioner Westgaard and seconded by Commissioner Wagner to approve <br />a professional services agreement between the EDA and Artist Carey Dean as outlined in <br />the staff report. Motion Carried 6-0. <br />7.3 General Updates <br />The staff report was presented and the following updates were provided: <br />There will be a budget workshop in July. <br />Price Homes will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow, June 18 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 <br />p.m. for the former movie theater building. They plan on showcasing what they want to do with <br />the whole facility to generate interest from future tenants. <br />
