<br />e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 90 - 39 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.08 - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 900.08 of the City of Elk River <br />Code of Ordinances titled "Definitions" be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />APARTMENT. A building other than a hotel or motel <br />containing four or more dwelling units which have primary <br />entrances from the same common hallways. <br /> <br />TRAILER, TEMPORARY.A trailer or mobile home used for no <br />more than six months as a temporary form of residential <br />dwelling on a lot where a house is being constructed. <br />Temporary trailers may be used in agricultural and single <br />family residential districts, only fOllowing the receipt <br />of a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />TOWNHOUSE. A dwelling unit which is part of the <br />multifamily dwelling whose units are attached horizontally <br />by a series of common or party walls. A townhouse is <br />attached to its own foundation; contains no independent <br />dwellings above or below and has a private entrance at <br />ground level. <br /> <br />Section 2. That Section 900.08 of the City of Elk River <br />Code of Ordinances titled "Definitions" be amended to add: <br /> <br />~OVERNMENTAL BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES. Any building, <br />structure, or facility for the purpose of a facility <br />serving certain governmental functions. These uses are <br />intended to include uses that are supportive of <br />governmental functions such as public works facilities, <br />correctional facilities, and waste handling or processing <br />facili ties. These uses are intended to be distinguished <br />from "governmental offices" and "essential services.1I <br /> <br />GOVERNijENTAL OFFICES. Any facility, building, and <br />structure for the purpose of providing governmental <br />services to the general public. Uses intended are <br />generally compatible with office and residential uses and <br />include city offices, county offices, libraries, and post <br />offices. These uses are intended for the direct provision <br />of governmental services to the public as distinguished <br />from governmental buildings and facilities. <br /> <br />e <br />
