RESOLUTION 98 - 16 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND WRIGHT COUNTY FOR <br />BRIDGE #86515 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the <br />duties and responsibilities of both the City and the <br />County as to maintenance on Bridge #86515 and its <br />approaches should be clearly defined. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure <br />maintenance: <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />CITY RESPONSIBLE FOR: (1) Maintenance of street lights; <br /> (2) Removal of snow from sidewalk; <br /> (3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach <br /> (includes: turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage <br /> and riprap maintenance); <br /> (4) Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing <br /> sand/dirt from expansion joints; <br /> (5) Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of <br /> bridge structure. <br /> <br />COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR: (1) Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches; <br /> (2) Signing for bridge and approaches; <br /> (3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach <br /> (includes: turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage <br /> and riprap maintenance); <br /> (4) Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar). <br /> <br />The agreement between the City and County shall be for a two year period <br />and run from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 1999. All maintenance <br />responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no payments will be <br />required for the individual maintenance work which conforms to the areas <br />stated herein and performed under authorization of either the City or <br />County. <br /> <br /> <br />
