Feature 3: At the northern boundary of Woodland Trails Regional Park, trail users approach a grade <br />separated crossing under County Road 33, where the City of Elk River maintains a trash receptacle, <br />portable toilet and connector trail to a residential neighborhood. This project proposes adding a <br />ADA accessible width limiter gate, consistent with the construction and design standard set forth <br />by the U.S. Forest Service in “Vehicle Barriers: Their Use and Planning Considerations”. The <br />maintained turf within the GNRT ROW, on the edge of Woodland Trails Regional Park, provides the <br />setting for a shade structure and seating for a trailside snack or rest.
