��i <br />Elk River , <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Thomas Geiser —Operations Director <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />August 13, 2024 <br />6.1e <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Staff is working through the second round of maps for the new GIS mapping system that <br />we plan to move forward with in the future. <br />• Attending Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meetings weekly with other ERMU <br />staff. <br />• Working through 2025 projects and equipment/material needs. <br />• Working on scheduling equipment demos for our 2025 equipment replacements. <br />• Still attending weekly Highway 169 Redefine project meetings every Tuesday. <br />• Working on the 2025 capital budget and wire bid. <br />• Working with Johhny Pops' electrician on their second service plans. <br />• Working through Vireo Health's service needs. <br />• Working with staff on filling the system engineer position. <br />• Working with staff on our future East substation project. <br />• We had a tree knock out feeder 62 after the two inches of rain we had August 5, which <br />caused an outage to roughly 1170 customers.
