Ji <br />Elk River amft . <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Sara Youngs —Administrations Director <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />July 9, 2024 <br />6.1b <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Office walk-in traffic for June consisted of 180 customers, averaging 36 customers per <br />week over the five -week period. <br />• Currently there are six active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under <br />construction in the ERMU service territory. <br />• Attended a webinar hosted by STAR Energy Services on June 26 for training on Utility <br />Required Profile (URP). Training included an overview of what a URP is, the role of the <br />utility, the role of the distributed energy resource (DER) owner/installer, and how to <br />incorporate the new requirements with the witness test process. <br />• ERMU disconnections for June. <br />o Cycle 3 — <br />20 disconnections <br />o Cycle 4 — <br />10 disconnections <br />o Cycle 1— <br />32 disconnections <br />• Backflow prevention inspection notices have been mailed to all residential and <br />commercial customers. Residential inspections are being completed by ERMU's water <br />department with an anticipated completion date of September 1, 2024. Commercial <br />customers are required to schedule an appointment with a registered plumber. As part <br />of ERMU's fee schedule, customers that fail or do not comply with the inspection will be <br />charged $100 per month for non-compliance. <br />• Administrations Director daily efforts continue to focus on ERMU's Advanced Metering <br />Infrastructure (AMI) project; the AMI team meets weekly for a project update with <br />Allegiant and Core & Main. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />169 <br />
