• use of offensive or demeaning terms that have sexual connotations; <br />• telling suggestive jokes or stories and conversations about sexual <br />exploits, sexual preferences, and desires; <br />• jokes, cartoons, pictures, objects or stories that have a sexual content; <br />• comments about an individual's body or appearance where such <br />comments go beyond mere courtesy; <br />• threats, demands or suggestions, whether subtle or obvious that an <br />employee's work status, advancement or other terms and conditions of <br />employment are contingent upon the employee's toleration of or <br />acquiescence to unwelcome sexual advances; <br />• repeated, unwelcome sexual flirtations, propositions, or invitations to <br />social engagements; or <br />• unwelcome and objectionable physical contact or physical proximity. <br />Scope ofPolicy <br />The Utilities prohibits harassment of any type or form. This policy prohibits same sex <br />harassment as well as harassment by members of the opposite sex. In addition, this policy <br />prohibits sexual harassment and any other form of harassment by any individual, including <br />Utilities managers, employees, co-workers, and third parties such as clients, elected <br />officials, consultants, contractors or vendors who deal with the Utilities' employees. This <br />policy applies to social media posts, tweets, etc., that are about or may be seen by <br />employees, managers, clients, etc. <br />Procedure for Reporting Harassment <br />The Utilities wants to resolve any problems, but it can do so only if it is aware of them. <br />The Utilities encourages any individual who believes they are being harassed to report any <br />and all incidents of perceived harassment. <br />If at any time you feel you are being harassed, you should immediately contact: <br />your supervisor; and/or <br />another Utilities manager or Director (including any superintendent of the Utilities <br />or other representative as defined in Section 24 of this Handbook); and/or <br />the Human Resources Representative. <br />Any Utilities manager or Director or other person who receives a report under this policy <br />is required to communicate the matter to the Human Resources Representative <br />immediately. <br />July 2024 <br />2313900 <br />72 <br />
