Ji <br />Elk River amft . <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Sara Youngs —Administrations Director <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />June 4, 2024 <br />6.1b <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Office walk-in traffic for May consisted of 138 customers, averaging 35 customers per <br />week over the four -week period. <br />• Currently there are six active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under <br />construction in the ERMU service territory. <br />• In the last 30 days, the level two electric vehicle charger located downtown and the <br />charger in the parking lot in front of ERMU had 12 sessions and provided customers with <br />646 kWh of green energy. <br />• National Information Solutions Cooperative's (NISC) Minnesota User Group hosted an <br />annual spring meeting at Great River Energy in Maple Grove. Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />was represented by our billing specialist, credit and collections specialist, a customer <br />service representative, and IT/OT technician. The user group provides Minnesota NISC <br />users a learning opportunity by participating in demonstrations on upcoming product <br />enhancements and round table discussions with their peers. <br />The administrations director attended a ribbon cutting event held on May 22, 2024, for <br />Eagle Scout Candidate Brycen Jones' project to install a solar picnic table at Orono Park. <br />Starting June 3, 2024, all Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnection <br />applications will be submitted via Nova Power Portal. Communications staff has created <br />a new page for this on ERMU's website which will launch on that day. <br />• The Advanced Metering Infrastructure team continues to meet weekly with Allegiant, <br />NISC, and Core & Main to work through, test, and implement new processes and <br />procedures. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />124 <br />
