City code now states that PUDs should be <br />established with an ordinance rather than through the CUP process. This change was made to improve the <br />availability of PUD information for residents or developers working within the PUD, and to ease future <br />amendments to the PUD district. <br /> <br />While this subdivision was approved under the previous guidance, requiring a PUD agreement rather than an <br />ordinance, city staff initiated the ordinance amendment process to codify the PUD standards in accordance <br />with the current process. As development of the site has not yet begun, the transition to an ordinance puts <br />the project in a better long term position for developers, and especially residents, as they begin to establish <br />themselves in the city. <br /> <br />The proposed PUD ordinance incorporates the plans and development standards discussed during the <br />Planning Commission and City Council meetings, including the conditions of approval from the City Council. <br />The City Council packet is also attached for reference. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />None <br /> <br />Mission/Policy/Goal <br />Simplify city ordinances and policies. <br />Support the growth and development of the residential community. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />1.
