<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 10, 1919 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Office of the Elk River Lumber Co on <br />th <br />Tuesday the 10 day of June 1919 <br /> <br />Members Present as follows. <br />J.H. Virgin President <br />E.J. Keegan Trustee <br />Bert Carr Trustee <br />Wm Norval Clerk <br /> <br />President called meeting to order at 8:30 o’clock <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion by Bert Carr and seconded by E.J. Keegan that <br />these bills be allowed and warrants drawn by the Clerk to pay the same. Motion declared by the <br />President carried. <br /> <br />1723 J.D. Plante goods to Mrs. Geo Martineau (May) 26.61 <br />1724 Elk River P&L Co bill for repairs 4.20 <br />1925 Vernon Cemetery dues for 2 lots for 1919 @ 2.00 4.00 <br />1726 Keay’s Seed Co Plants for Village Park and Labor 18.95 <br />1730 C.F. Robbins Bill for ballots printed Mch Election 2.75 <br />1727 Wm Iliff 23/4 days work with team on streets 7.00 19.25 <br />1728 M.K. Iliff ¾ days work with team on streets 5.25 <br />1729 Wm Iliff cash paid to send sick man to Brainerd 3.19 <br />84.20 <br /> <br />The Council then proceeded to vote on a Resolution from Wells Dickey Co Mpls calling for a <br />Special Election to be voted on by the voters of the Village of Elk River to issue bonds for the <br />following purposes $32,000.00 to be used to construct a system of waterworks for said Village of <br />Elk River and the balance of $8,000.00 to be used to fund the Village indebtedness, the Resolution <br />was then read and approved by the Council a copy of which is filed in the Office of the Village <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />No further business council adjourned <br /> <br />William Norval <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
