<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 16, 1919 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Village Council held at the Office of the Elk River Lumber Co present as <br />follows. <br /> <br />Members Present as follows. <br />J.H. Virgin President <br />E.J. Keegan Trustee <br />Bert Carr Trustee <br />Wm Norval Clerk <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President 8:30 <br /> <br />Motion by E.J. Keegan Trustee that the following bills amounting to $75.25 be paid seconded by <br />Trustee Carr and carried that the clerk draw warrants to pay the same – <br />E.N. Daly Co wine and well repairs 6.30 <br />J.D. Plante goods to Mrs. Martineau (March) 20.31 <br />J.D. Plante goods to Mrs. Martineau (April) 22.99 <br />Elk River P&L Co repairs 8.15 <br />A. Fredrickson reapis on water tank 2.50 <br />A.A. Opitz rent for dumping grounds 1919 10.00 <br />W.A. Patenaude making sign and painting same 5.00 <br />75.25 <br /> <br />The council finding that it was not necessary to apply for bids for supply plank for repairing the <br />bridge over the Miss River. As it was not a new bridge this was merely repairing the same, therefore <br />is now left to the Council to order the materials. Motion by Trustee can that the plank and other <br />material required for the replanking of the said bridge be given to and that they proceed to order the <br />same without further delay, as the price on lumber was advancing all the time, the motion was <br />seconded by E.J. Keegan Turstee and carried by all cvoring: aye. <br /> <br />Nothing further council adjourned <br /> <br />William Norval <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
