Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission Minutes <br />December 11, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />MFAC approves a special meeting set for Tuesday, December 19 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss/approve a <br />written instrument allowing access via the south fieldhouse door. <br />6.1 Superintendent's Report <br />Mr. Dalton presented the staff report. <br />7.1 Approve meeting dates for 2024 <br />Mr. Dalton presented the staff report. <br />Dalton noted staff is looking to standardize the contract process making the MFAC approved ice rate <br />the set point and discounts to be offered based on a commitment of ice hours purchased. He also <br />asked the commission for guidance on which 2024 meeting date the facility rates should be reviewed <br />and set. <br />Motion by Commissioner Hecker and seconded by Commissioner Gulden to approve the <br />2024 meeting dates after establishing April 8, 2024, as the date to approve ice, room, and turf <br />rates. Motion carried 5-0. <br />7.2. Review Policies and Procedures for Facility <br />Mr. Dalton presented the staff report. <br />Commissioner Wagner noted use of cannabis should be added to the general guidelines, changing the <br />wording to "The FT Center, its grounds, and parking lot are smoke -free, tobacco -free, and cannabis <br />free including smoking, chewing, and vaping. The City reserves the right to remove a user or revoke a <br />permit when in violation of the policy". <br />Commissioner Hecker noted the fire capacity for the Senior Activity Center should be added to the <br />General Guidelines in the Reservation Procedures section on page 8. <br />Motion made by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Gulden to approve <br />the FT Center policies and procedures with the abovementioned additions. Motion carried 5- <br />0. <br />7.3. Review Value/Mission statement <br />Mr. Dalton presented the staff report. <br />Commissioner Wagner noted there should be a comma after "serving the present" in the Mission <br />Statement. <br />Moved by Commissioner Gulden and seconded by Commissioner Walker to approve the <br />MFAC value and mission statements with the above -mentioned change.
