Impact on Operating Budget <br />Identifying potential costs associated with implementation of the proposed capital <br />improvement projects is a critical aspect of long-term financial planning. Many of the <br />projects included in the Capital Improvement Plan will have little or no impact on the <br />operating budget. <br />Generally, equipment replacement items will have a positive impact on future operating <br />budgets due to lower maintenance costs. Street improvement projects will result in <br />substantial savings in maintenance costs. The park improvement projects represent <br />identified maintenance or replacement of existing assets and should have little impact <br />on the operating budget. <br />9 <br />
