Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 2 <br />October 16, 2023 <br />----------------------------- <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.1 General Updates <br /> <br />Mr. O’Neil presented the staff report. He discussed the partnership with Sherburne County and <br />Greater MSP and how each city will be part of a tour highlighting sites throughout the county. He <br />noted Elk River will be the first tour. <br /> <br />Mr. O’Neil stated city fees for services are under annual review and he would like to bring some of <br />them to the Joint Finance Committee for discussion. <br /> <br />th <br />7.2 Update: Sale of Property at 10835 170 Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. O’Neil presented the staff report. He noted the Authority is not the fee title holder and a transfer <br />from the city will need to be completed. <br /> <br />7.3 Project Inquiries <br /> <br />Mr. O’Neil presented the staff report. He discussed two inquiries received over the last month, one <br />being a high-water user and another that wants a 1–200-acre site. The city does not have this large of a <br />site so alternative solutions are being reviewed such as private property. <br /> <br />7.4 Together Elk River Subcommittee Appointment <br /> <br />Mr. O’Neil stated they would like to grow the committee and feel 5-7 members would be a decent <br />size group. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wagner provided background on Molly Nadeau Peterson. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Westgaard to appoint <br />Molly Nadeau Peterson to the Together Elk River Subcommittee. <br /> <br />Motion carried 7-0 <br /> <br />7.5 Public Art Committee Candidates <br /> <br />Chair Tveite noted they have lost a few members and asked for candidates to be brought forward to <br />staff if there is anyone with interest. <br /> <br />8. Adjourn Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Westgaard to adjourn the <br />regular meeting of the Economic Development Authority. <br /> <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />
