Section 46-34 Public Nuisances <br />Adopt, byT motion, a resolution approving summaryT publication sections pertaining to Home Occupations and <br />Interim Uses. <br />Background/Discussion <br />After several work sessions with the Planning Commission and Cit�r Council, staff drafted amendments to the <br />Home Occupation and Interim Use Permit ordinances based on direction received during the `vork sessions and <br />public hearings. <br />Planning Commission <br />During the public hearing, numerous people spoke, and the most common concern `vas the proposed removal of <br />outdoor storage. Commenters requested that it be based on lot size and location. There were also discussions <br />regarding Conditional Use Permits (CUP) vs. Interim Use Permits (IUP) `vith support for both processes. Staff <br />provided background information on the amendment to clarifyT several misunderstandings. <br />The Commission maintained their recommendation that any home occupation which does not meet the permitted <br />residential occupation standards should be processed through an IUP and recommended approved IUPs be <br />terminated when the propeYtyr is sold.
